ABB is hiring a R&D Associate Engineer

About the Role

ABB is looking for an R&D Associate Engineer to join our team developing software for System Drives. You will contribute by designing, implementing, and testing software solutions, modules, and functions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop embedded software for System Drives products
  • Develop the test and simulation framework
  • Perform code maintenance and documentation
  • Keep project-related data up to date

What We're Looking For

  • Higher degree in automatics, computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial C/C++ embedded software development
  • Proficiency in C and C++ embedded programming
  • Interest in power electronics
  • Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Intermediate skills in Python programming
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have

  • Basic knowledge in the field of data science and machine learning
