About the Role

Colac Area Health is seeking a Radiology Registrar for an RANZCR accredited training position commencing in mid-May 2026. In this role, you will provide high-quality, timely medical imaging services as part of Barwon Health, working under consultant radiologist supervision. The position is designed to provide all the support and opportunities required for successful completion of the RANZCR curriculum.

What You'll Do

  • Perform and report radiological procedures (x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, interventional) within your scope of expertise under consultant radiologist supervision.
  • Actively engage in all training requirements of the RANZCR radio-diagnosis curriculum.
  • Appropriately prioritize and protocol imaging requests.
  • Provide after-hours radiology services as required on the roster.
  • Liaise effectively with referring doctors, clinicians, radiographers, nursing, and clerical staff.
  • Attend scheduled teaching and learning opportunities.
  • Attend clinical-radiological and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Complete clinical, Barwon Health, and RANZCR documentation in a timely manner.

What We're Looking For

  • Basic medical qualifications registrable in Australia (AHPRA medical registration).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a doctor in Australia by the end of April 2026.
  • Must have a College Registration Verification Number (CRVN) via RANZCR.
  • Ability to commence the position in mid-May 2026.
  • Demonstrated interest in a career in radiology.
  • Appropriate clinical medical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written and oral English language skills.
  • Excellent work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Research skills and experience.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in the roster for after-hours, on call, and recall as required.
