KoBold Metals is seeking a Founding Engineer (Full-Stack) to join its team building next-generation mineral exploration systems. As a founding member of the execution systems team, you will develop the critical software infrastructure that translates our quantitative models into real-world operational workflows.
What You'll Do
- Architect and build full-stack applications that operationalize predictive models and data insights
- Design robust APIs and data pipelines to connect our quantitative backend with field execution tools
- Develop intuitive user interfaces that enable geologists and operations teams to make data-driven decisions
- Establish engineering best practices and infrastructure for a new, high-impact product team
- Collaborate directly with data scientists and domain experts to define system requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building and shipping complex, full-stack web applications from scratch
- Expertise in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) and backend languages (e.g., Python, Node.js)
- Strong understanding of API design, database architecture, and cloud infrastructure
- Ability to work autonomously, make foundational technical decisions, and drive projects from conception to launch
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to solving open-ended problems
