TD Bank is seeking a Quality Engineer II (US) to join our Retail Lending organization, focusing on Mortgage and Home Equity products. In this role, you'll be a quality advocate and agile team member responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the development lifecycle. Your primary focus will be performing hands-on system testing, including test planning, script writing, and manual or automated execution.
What You'll Do
- Perform hands-on system testing activities, including test planning, script writing, data staging, and manual/automated testing of system updates against functional requirements.
- Provide QE leadership, direction, and feedback throughout the development and design process to ensure solution quality.
- Implement effective test strategies and plans, test design/development, test case automation, and test execution as a Test Lead for small complexity initiatives.
- Leverage strong technical knowledge to build optimized test approaches, including tooling strategy.
- Implement functional and/or non-functional automation frameworks and integrate automated tests into CI/CD/CT pipelines.
- Play a key role in developing, documenting, and proactively identifying end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the development team to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Done/Ready.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new technologies for better, faster, more secure testing activities.
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies related to quality engineering activities.
- Conduct test assets reviews to ensure adherence to quality, standards compliance, reusability, and ease of maintenance.
- Actively mentor and enable team members by sharing knowledge and leveraging engineering best practices.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of relevant quality engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of specific domain and quality engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of coding practices, testing, and debugging to develop and maintain resilient automated test scripts.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and analyze potential solutions.
- Deep knowledge of in-scope TD business and systems, practices, business/organization, and Bank standards.
- Strong knowledge of new/advanced techniques and approaches in testing and automation (e.g., BDD, Machine Learning).
- Strong knowledge of test data management to reuse automated test data provisioning capabilities.
- Effectively engineers and leverages tools and Engineering practices (DevOps tools and processes, source code management, Service Virtualization, monitoring tools).
- Applies the principles of behavior/Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD) and focuses on value-driven outcomes.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Encompass.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology (JIRA, JTMF, and terminology).
- Mortgage and/or Home Equity Lending experience.
- Experience writing requirements, writing Use Cases and Test Scripts, and performing System Testing.

- Compensation: $34.75 - $52.00 USD per hour.
