Waveguide LLC, part of Compass Group, is looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to validate application quality across UI, APIs, and data. You will execute well-defined test cases and collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and QA team members within established testing frameworks and processes.
What You'll Do
- Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases aligned to user story acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain Tosca automated tests using existing modules and frameworks.
- Execute functional, regression, API, database, and basic performance tests.
- Build and maintain regression test coverage across applications.
- Validate backend services and data consistency across systems.
- Manage test cases, test cycles, and execution results using qTest.
- Log, track, and validate defects using Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and QA peers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide clear and concise test status, results, and defect documentation.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance with both manual and automation testing.
- 1-year of hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for defect tracking.
- Experience using qTest or a similar test management tool.
- Working knowledge of Agile and SDLC practices.
- Intermediate SQL skills including joins, updates, and data validation.
- Basic understanding of performance testing concepts and execution.
- Strong attention to detail with clear written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Tosca certifications.
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience testing APIs and backend services.
