Layton Construction Company, LLC, part of STO Building Group and founded on the core values of honesty, unity, safety, and quality, seeks a Quality Control Manager to ensure our projects meet company and customer standards. You will maintain quality assurance processes, test materials, record and analyze results, and ensure compliance with all project documents, regulations, and safety guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Execute comprehensive inspections to align with standards in project plans and technical specifications.
- Foster an environment of cleanliness and enforce stringent safety protocols among staff.
- Effect quality corrective actions to guarantee fulfillment of project requirements.
- Prepare and deliver reports as mandated by project specifications to project managers and clients.
- Uphold meticulous documentation practices to facilitate auditing processes.
- Assure proper calibration and functioning of measuring equipment, arranging repairs as needed.
- Methodically record and document test results in alignment with established protocols.
- Engage in quality calibrations and internal audits.
- Collaborate seamlessly with government agencies during inspection processes.
- Work with project management to ensure projects are executed punctually, adhering to schedules and budgets.
- Develop project submittals that align meticulously with project specifications and plans.
- Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of quality control experience.
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards.
- Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in diagram form.
- Excellent computer skills, including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Highly proactive and responsive to internal and external customers.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
