Responsibilities
- Lead and scale the quality assurance strategy for an enterprise health technology company.
- Collaborate across engineering teams, focusing on test automation, process optimization, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Provide strategic leadership in QA practices while supervising QA engineers and maintaining consistent quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders to define and promote a culture of quality across the organization.
- Define, implement, and manage the overall quality strategy, including automation, manual testing, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers across multiple Scrum teams to ensure consistent execution and delivery.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product leadership to align testing priorities with business goals.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable test automation frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
- Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to report on testing effectiveness and product health to leadership.
- Champion testing best practices, including shift-left testing, test-driven development, and robust exploratory testing.
- Identify gaps in coverage, tooling, or process and proactively implement solutions.
- Conduct regular code and test reviews to ensure high standards and alignment with QA practices.
- Drive initiatives for test data management, performance testing, and environment stability.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-departmental planning.
- Build and scale test automation strategies across large or complex applications.
- Use front-end automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress and scripting in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Use middleware/API testing, SQL, and Linux/Unix systems.
- Use CI/CD tools and integrate testing frameworks into deployment pipelines.
- Manage geographically distributed teams and support remote-first collaboration.
- Use AWS and DevOps pipelines, including environment validation and infrastructure testing as well as RDBMS.
- Use experience in compliance, audit, or regulated environment testing.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or a similar occupation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and Management, or Software Engineering.
