About the Role
The role involves working closely with development teams to identify, report, and verify fixes for software defects in TeamCity. The specialist will contribute to improving product quality through systematic testing and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement test plans for new and existing features
- Execute manual and automated test cases to validate software behavior
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking systems
- Collaborate with developers to understand feature specifications
- Verify bug fixes and ensure resolution meets quality standards
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts
- Analyze test results and report on product stability
- Participate in sprint planning and QA-related meetings
- Evaluate user feedback for potential quality improvements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools
- Assess impact of code changes on existing functionality
- Support release validation and regression testing cycles
- Ensure compatibility across supported platforms and configurations
- Monitor build health and investigate build failures
- Provide input on usability and edge-case handling
- Work with cross-functional teams to align on quality goals
- Improve test coverage for critical workflows
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for new features
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues
- Contribute to internal documentation for test processes
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with TeamCity or similar CI tools
- Exposure to test automation using Java or Kotlin
- Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments
