Playtech is hiring a QA Engineer to join the IMS Engagement unit. In this role, you will plan, design, and execute testing activities for the IMS platform's marketing automation and player rewards systems, working within a collaborative and international team.
What You'll Do
- Plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities with the Team and the QA Team Leader.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to verify product requirements are met.
- Find, identify, and report failures and defects found during testing.
- Be proactive and solve work-stopping problems and escalate to the QA Team Leader if necessary.
- Collaborate with the test automation team.
- Investigate production incidents.
What We're Looking For
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies and the QA role within it.
- Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes, and test design techniques.
- Experience in Client-side (Mobile & Web) and Server-side (API & Integration) testing.
- Clear understanding of client–server architecture, request/response flow, and data consistency.
- Practical understanding of OOP principles, database fundamentals, and basic algorithms.
- Working knowledge of SQL (reading queries, basic joins, data validation).
- Confident use of JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, and traffic/debugging tools such as Postman, Burp, Fiddler, or Charles.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Intermediate+ level of English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with version control systems: Git.
- Experience with continuous integration tools: Bamboo, Jenkins.
- Experience using Chrome Devtools.
- Experience with performance testing.
- Basic experience in MySQL and Oracle.
