Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend functionality using Python and Flask within a large-scale codebase
- Partner with business units to interpret contractual requirements and convert them into APIs, data structures, and server-side logic
- Produce clean, efficient, and scalable code following established software engineering standards
- Transform and manage datasets using Pandas and Pydantic for data validation and processing
- Assist in shaping and refining SQL data models and query performance
- Package services and applications using Docker for consistent deployment environments
- Diagnose, debug, and enhance system performance in AWS-hosted infrastructure
- Set up and manage monitoring solutions using Grafana, Elasticsearch/Kibana, and Sentry
- Coordinate with frontend engineers working with React and Highcharts to ensure smooth API integration
