Oowlish Technology is looking for a Python Backend Developer to contribute to our distributed engineering team. You will build and maintain critical server-side applications and APIs, collaborating with colleagues across the Americas.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs using Python
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborate with team members to translate product requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building production backend systems with Python
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, asynchronous environment
- Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with React for frontend development
- Familiarity with modern backend frameworks (e.g., Django, FastAPI)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in Rio De Janeiro, Medellin, Antioquia, Cordoba, Montevideo, Guadalajara, Recife, or Salvador.
