Holtec International is seeking a Pump Engineer for its Systems Engineering department, the company's center of excellence for system engineering. This role is central to developing requirements and specifications for pumps used in nuclear power plant systems and may support the groundbreaking SMR-300 program.
What You'll Do
- Develop requirements and specifications for a variety of pumps for various systems in nuclear power plants.
- Support engineering and licensing requirements for the SMR-300 program, leading to the licensing and construction of the first SMR-300 plant.
What We're Looking For
- BS in an engineering discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of pump design, operation, maintenance, and testing considerations/procedures.
- Experience in developing and/or reviewing pump procurement specifications for nuclear power plants.
- Familiarity with pump maintenance impacts on power plant outages.
- Excellent technical writing, interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Masters degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline.
- Experience working with engineers and vendors/manufacturers to develop designs and drawings.
- Experience working in the nuclear energy field.
- EIT and/or PE certification.
