About the Role
The practitioner will deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans for patients across the lifespan using virtual care methods.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments via secure telehealth systems
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders in adults and adolescents
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Collaborate with primary care providers when necessary
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
- Adhere to ethical and professional nursing standards
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy protocols
Nice to Have
- Experience working in community mental health settings
- Familiarity with integrated care models
- Additional certification in substance use disorder treatment
- Training in trauma-informed care
- Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish
