About the Role

Handles the end-to-end adjustment of property claims, including investigation, evaluation, and settlement within established authority limits.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming property damage claims for completeness and accuracy
  • Conduct investigations to determine cause and extent of loss
  • Interview claimants and witnesses to gather relevant information
  • Inspect damaged properties to assess repair or replacement needs
  • Estimate financial impact of claims using industry-standard tools
  • Determine coverage applicability based on policy terms
  • Document findings and decisions in claims management system
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal procedures
  • Communicate claim status updates to policyholders
  • Coordinate with contractors and experts when necessary
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all claim-related activities
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding claim progress
  • Resolve claims within delegated authority limits
  • Refer complex cases to senior adjusters when required
  • Follow up on open claims to ensure timely closure
  • Support team goals through collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Attend training sessions to stay current on policies and practices
  • Adhere to service level agreements for claim processing
