About the Role
The Project Manager will oversee mining-related engineering and construction initiatives, coordinating teams, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of mining projects from initiation to closeout
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and construction
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
- Serve as primary point of contact between client and project team
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when needed
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and progress reviews
- Oversee change management processes and contract administration
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality assurance protocols
- Collaborate with operations teams to align project goals with business objectives
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships
- Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management
- Support bid development and project acquisition efforts
- Integrate sustainability practices into project workflows
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Ensure alignment with engineering design and construction methodologies
- Lead project risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Coordinate with geotechnical and environmental specialists
- Oversee site inspections and field progress reviews
- Support commissioning and handover activities
- Apply project management methodologies consistent with organizational standards
- Manage interface between multiple project workstreams
- Ensure alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations
- Foster collaboration across global project teams
