AECOM is hiring a Project Manager, Mining

About the Role

The Project Manager will oversee mining-related engineering and construction initiatives, coordinating teams, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of mining projects from initiation to closeout
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and construction
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Serve as primary point of contact between client and project team
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and progress reviews
  • Oversee change management processes and contract administration
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality assurance protocols
  • Collaborate with operations teams to align project goals with business objectives
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management
  • Support bid development and project acquisition efforts
  • Integrate sustainability practices into project workflows
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensure alignment with engineering design and construction methodologies
  • Lead project risk assessments and mitigation planning
  • Coordinate with geotechnical and environmental specialists
  • Oversee site inspections and field progress reviews
  • Support commissioning and handover activities
  • Apply project management methodologies consistent with organizational standards
  • Manage interface between multiple project workstreams
  • Ensure alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations
  • Foster collaboration across global project teams
