A Project Architect with 8-12 years of experience is needed to join an interdisciplinary team in San Francisco. The role emphasizes design innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, with a focus on workplace environments, including adaptive reuse and transformative interior projects. The individual will lead design development and documentation across all project phases.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative and conceptually strong design solutions that align with organizational values and project objectives.
- Produce high-quality design presentations using advanced graphic techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary design teams and client stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Generate accurate and comprehensive architectural documentation across all design phases.
- Participate in client presentations, project pursuits, and community engagement initiatives.
- Lead or support coordination of multiple consultants and engineered systems integration.
- Function effectively both as an independent contributor and as part of a collaborative team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience after graduation.
- Strong verbal, written, and visual communication abilities.
- Proven experience across all stages of design and documentation, with some familiarity in construction administration.
- Adaptability to assume various roles across diverse project types.
- Proficiency in leading Revit model development and building information modeling (BIM).
- Capability to establish and manage project milestones, lead meetings, and mentor team members.

Compensation
The expected compensation range is $103,000 to $130,000 per year. Actual pay depends on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and location. Includes annual discretionary bonus opportunity.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid arrangement based in San Francisco, CA. Team collaborates in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays can be worked in-office or remotely for most roles.
