GPS Group Peer Support is hiring a Program Assistant - English/Spanish bilingual

About the Role

The role involves delivering direct support to participants in a peer-driven environment, assisting with program operations, and ensuring clear communication across language needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for peer-led support groups
  • Assist in organizing and scheduling group meetings
  • Communicate effectively with participants in both English and Spanish
  • Maintain accurate records and participant documentation
  • Support outreach efforts to expand program engagement
  • Respond to inquiries from community members and partners
  • Coordinate logistics for workshops and events
  • Distribute program materials in both languages
  • Facilitate smooth communication between staff and participants
  • Assist with data entry and recordkeeping
  • Help prepare reports and summaries for program leads
  • Ensure cultural sensitivity in all interactions
  • Support participants in navigating program resources
  • Maintain confidentiality of all participant information
  • Participate in team meetings and trainings
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of program services
  • Assist in translating written materials when needed
  • Monitor supply inventory and place orders
  • Track attendance and participation metrics
  • Support crisis response protocols as trained
  • Promote a safe and inclusive group environment
  • Escalate concerns to supervising staff appropriately
  • Engage in ongoing professional development
  • Uphold organizational values and mission
  • Adapt to changing program needs and priorities
