Scania Group is hiring a Production Systems Engineer to join the Scania Production team in Meppel. In this role, you will work on production systems that directly influence daily operations, configuring and optimizing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure the shop floor always has the right information at the right time.
What You'll Do
- Configure and optimize the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for assembly and logistics processes.
- Manage and maintain master data to ensure information is always correct and up to date.
- Test and verify system settings before they go live in production.
- Support and train shop floor colleagues in using the system.
- Identify and resolve disruptions in data and system configuration.
- Collaborate closely with MES Engineers and Product Owners to align the system with practical needs.
What We're Looking For
- A completed higher professional education (HBO) in information management, technical business administration, or a similar field.
- Experience with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), or the motivation to master it quickly.
- Ability to work with data and systems to verify and improve information.
- Logical thinking about processes and translating this into practical solutions.
- Clear communication, enjoyment of collaboration, and openness to improvement.
- Willingness to ask questions and actively think about how things can be smarter or easier.
- Ability to listen well to shop floor colleagues and take different opinions seriously.

You will work alongside 12 colleagues in the Product Engineering department, in a team known for pragmatism, technical knowledge, and extensive experience. You will report to the Groupleader Product Engineering.
