JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. is looking for a Production Associate to join our weekend team, performing tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity in our manufacturing environment. You will be instrumental in preparing materials, operating machinery, and assembling windows and patio doors.
What You'll Do
- Prepare vinyl lineals for production using a lamination process.
- Saw and machine vinyl and metal for assembly using CNC saws and mills.
- Assemble and glaze windows and patio doors through an assembly line process.
- Assist co-workers in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments.
- Meet daily production rates while maintaining quality standards for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager to support operations.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with team assistance.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day on hard surfaces.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing may be required.
- Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and labels.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using metrology instruments and recording inspection data.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Must be comfortable working with manual and powered tools (mallets, putty knives, knives, cutters, glazing guns, drills, saws, sanders, vacuum hoists, mills, punches, routers, pallet jacks).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
- Works well in a team environment with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
Nice to Have
- Stable work history with 2 – 3 years of manufacturing experience.
