Clerk is looking for a Product Engineer focused on the Dashboard to build new functionality developers love. In this backend-oriented full-stack role, you will work on nimble teams, connect directly with customers, and define features that shape the central interface for configuring, monitoring, and scaling applications.

What You'll Do

Shape the Clerk Dashboard experience by building and evolving the central developer interface.
Design and implement new dashboard features, from authentication insights and analytics to advanced organization management tools.
Improve usability and workflows by partnering with design and product teams to streamline navigation, clarity, and efficiency.
Build for observability and transparency, creating tools that help developers understand authentication flows and diagnose issues.
Collaborate with customers and teammates as part of a fully remote product delivery team.
Execute work iteratively and reduce the time between feedback cycles.
Thrive in a dynamic environment by working through customer problems directly.
Be Customer 0 by trialing new features internally before public release.
Embrace a culture of craft by focusing on engineering quality and writing maintainable, performant, and well-structured code.

What We're Looking For

Backend or full-stack expert comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript.
Ability to write clean, idiomatic Go code.
Strong product sense for dashboards and admin tools, with a focus on designing clear and intuitive experiences.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub patterns, and scaling challenges.
Passion for building for other engineers and obsession with improving their experience.
Belief in solving real customer problems, even with tradeoffs.
Desire to work on products you use yourself.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of modern frontend stacks.
