lightspeedhq was looking for a Product Designer II

Lightspeed is looking for a Product Designer II to join the Hospitality design team’s AI-Powered Setup & Configuration squad. You will be tasked with transforming complex workflows into simple, elegant customer journeys and defining a vision through iterative design for agentic-based experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Own and lead full design cycles for features or a product area.
  • Participate in design reviews and working sessions to develop effective solutions.
  • Translate requirements and ideas into clear, usable product features.
  • Proactively explore and integrate AI and emerging technologies to shape your approach.
  • Design holistic systems, flows and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly.
  • Use design systems to ensure consistency across platforms and contribute to its improvement.
  • Use research and data insights to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to align on user needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners and contribute positively to team culture.
  • Contribute to the long-term product vision by identifying opportunities for re-invention.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 4 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.
  • Foundational design-related education OR equivalent practical industry experience.
  • Clear communication skills to explain design decisions and collaborate effectively.
  • Solid visual design skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong enthusiasm for leveraging emerging tools—especially AI—to enhance user experiences.
  • Experience designing interconnected, cross-platform experiences that span mobile and touch and desktop applications.
  • Demonstrated capability in designing LLM-based interactions, multi-turn chat flows, or desktop AI tools.
  • An acute level of self-awareness and deep empathy for both the customer and your team’s goals.
  • An understanding and ability to consider product strategy and vision.
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA, and other prototyping tools.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English for effective global collaboration.

Nice to Have

  • Spoken German skills considered a plus.
