Responsibilities
- Help design, evolve, and manage the company's design system with a focus on governance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive component library featuring design tokens, UI components, patterns, and thorough documentation.
- Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure accurate, scalable implementation of design components.
- Establish and uphold standards for design tokens, interactive patterns, layout principles, and accessibility compliance.
- Produce clear documentation, usage instructions, and best practices for both designers and developers.
- Assist product designers in adopting and effectively using the design system across various product interfaces.
- Perform UI audits and lead refactoring efforts to boost component reuse and reduce visual inconsistencies.
- Ensure the design system supports responsive layouts, accessibility standards, and cross-platform scalability.
- Utilize AI-powered tools and vibe coding methods to speed up design exploration and prototyping.
- Advance AI-driven workflows that leverage the design system to generate scalable, production-ready user interfaces and real-world product experiences.
- Continuously refine the design system based on product requirements, team feedback, and advancements in design technology.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in product design, UI/UX design, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience building or contributing to a design system or component library.
- A strong portfolio showcasing work on design systems, including reusable components, design tokens, patterns, or system documentation.
- Advanced skills in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, libraries, and tokens, or comparable tools.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance design workflows, prototyping, or vibe coding.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of visual design systems, interaction design, and usability principles.
- Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards such as WCAG.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with design tokens and design-to-code integration pipelines.
- Familiarity with component documentation tools like Storybook.
- Exposure to frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Experience maintaining design systems across multiple products or platforms.
