Responsibilities
- Establish and promote SRE principles, focusing on reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Advocate for the adoption of SRE principles across the organization, creating measurable systems and processes, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Promote architectural improvements that enhance system reliability and deployment speed through automation.
- Offer expertise in system architecture, developing reusable platforms and frameworks, planning capacity needs, and conducting production readiness reviews to ensure successful service launches and operations.
- Engage in and enhance the lifecycle of microservices, from inception through deployment, operation, observability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to integrate reliability into the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct blameless postmortems and drive improvements in incident management.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers across the organization on SRE practices, encouraging teams to take ownership of service reliability.
Requirements
- Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems or microservices architectures.
- Expertise in observability and incident management.
- Experience in driving organizational change.
- Excellent communication skills, with a systematic problem-solving approach.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with production workloads in AWS.
- Experience working in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
- Interest in blockchain-based technologies and/or ‘decentralized’ finance.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
