About the Role
Lead and manage complex track engineering projects, provide technical direction, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver rail and transit solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and design of rail track systems for public and private clients
- Serve as technical lead on multidisciplinary transportation infrastructure assignments
- Develop and review engineering calculations, drawings, and design specifications
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with civil, structural, and systems engineers to integrate track components
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Prepare and present technical reports and design deliverables to clients
- Lead design reviews and risk assessments throughout project lifecycle
- Mentor and guide mid-level and junior engineering staff
- Support business development through proposal writing and client meetings
- Maintain familiarity with current and emerging rail technologies and design practices
- Interface with regulatory agencies and attend coordination meetings
- Conduct field investigations and construction site visits as needed
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control processes are followed
- Integrate sustainability principles into track design solutions
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in engineering or related field

- Prior experience in a consulting engineering environment
