Nagarro is hiring a Principal Engineer, Technical Architect to drive the design and architecture of AI/ML solutions. You will be responsible for translating complex business use-cases into robust technical designs and defining comprehensive end-to-end AI architecture. You'll work within a dynamic and non-hierarchical culture where your expertise will guide and mentor teams.

What You'll Do

Understand client business use cases and technical requirements and convert them into technical design.
Map architectural decisions to requirements and translate them for developers.
Identify potential solutions and narrow down the best option meeting client needs.
Define guidelines and benchmarks for NFR considerations during project implementation.
Write and review design documents explaining overall architecture, framework, and high-level design.
Review architecture on aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, and NFRs.
Develop and design the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements.
Define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to materialize the solution.
Understand and relate technology integration scenarios and apply learnings in projects.
Resolve issues raised during code review through systematic root cause analysis.
Carry out POCs to ensure suggested designs and technologies meet requirements.

What We're Looking For

Total professional experience of 13+ years.
Strong working experience in machine learning with a proven track record in NLP, machine vision, and AI.
Strong experience in AI/ML solution design, translating business use-cases into an AI approach, defining success metrics, evaluation plans, and end-to-end architecture.
Must have experience in AI/ML architecture design and implementation in data / big data using cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Dotnet, or JAVA, and experience with data manipulation libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, with experience applying them to real-world problems.
Must have experience in cloud & deployment, scalable inference (batch/real-time), GPUs basics, cost/latency tradeoffs, security/privacy (PII), access control, and compliant data handling.
Must have experience with fine-tuning models using PEFT, LORA, and Q-LORA.
Must have experience with Agentic AI & agents.

Nice to Have

Experience in large scale system design, API-first design, frontend & backend programming, and mentoring teams on best practices.
Experience with databases like SQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Understanding of MLOps and at least one deployment using MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes, or model deployment pipelines.
Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI agents as part of multi-agent systems for autonomous/semi-autonomous decision-making and agent orchestration.
Strong understanding of LLMs and foundation models with expertise in designing and building prompts for prompt development and templates.
Deep understanding of Generative AI fundamentals and transformer-based architectures.
Familiarity with multi-agent AI systems and collaborative model workflows.
Practical experience with Generative AI frameworks such as GANs, VAEs, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical mindset.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
