Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data infrastructure and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes.
  • Implement data governance and quality assurance processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models and schemas.
  • Implement data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.
  • Ensure data scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement data security and access control measures.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide technical support as needed.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to other teams and projects.
  • Develop and maintain data integration and migration processes.
  • Implement data monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to integrate data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data backup and recovery processes.
  • Ensure data availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical input and support for data-related projects and initiatives.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in data engineering or related field.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
  • Experience with data lakes and data streaming platforms.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and protection regulations.
