AECOM is hiring a Principal Ecologist - BNG Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement BNG strategies for infrastructure projects.
  • Provide expert ecological advice and guidance to project teams.
  • Conduct ecological assessments and surveys to inform project planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate ecological considerations into project designs.
  • Prepare and review ecological reports and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
  • Manage and mentor junior ecologists and support staff.
  • Contribute to the development of ecological policies and procedures.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss ecological aspects of projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest ecological research and best practices.
  • Support business development activities by contributing to proposals and tenders.
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders to address ecological concerns.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on ecological topics for project teams.
  • Review and approve ecological reports and documentation prepared by junior staff.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project managers and engineers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of BNG strategies implemented on projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and environmental organizations.
  • Participate in the development of ecological management plans for projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure ecological compliance.
  • Prepare and submit ecological permits and licenses as required.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, such as landscape architects and engineers, to integrate ecological solutions into project designs.
  • Provide input on the ecological aspects of environmental impact assessments.
  • Review and approve ecological management plans prepared by junior staff.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the development of BNG strategies.
