As the Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will drive a comprehensive shift in how infrastructure is managed and delivered at scale. Your primary focus will be redefining the operating model to transition from centralized control to a federated platform engineering approach, enabling product teams to operate independently while adhering to enterprise-wide standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement a scalable operating model that clearly separates platform and product team responsibilities, fostering autonomy without sacrificing oversight
- Lead the design and rollout of self-service infrastructure tools, templates, and platforms using Terraform and AWS services to accelerate deployment velocity
- Define organizational structures, capability frameworks, and governance policies that support AI-integrated development and secure, compliant operations
- Collaborate directly with engineering teams across regions to guide implementation, resolve technical challenges, and ensure adoption of best practices
- Establish foundational standards for AWS account topology, multi-region deployment, network architecture, identity management, and system resilience
- Integrate DevSecOps and AI-native engineering principles into platform workflows, tooling, and delivery pipelines
- Advise on Kubernetes (EKS) strategy, ensuring production-grade reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Support change management initiatives by aligning technical direction with business objectives and leadership expectations
Required Expertise
- Minimum of 10 years in infrastructure or platform roles, with hands-on experience leading large-scale transformation programs
- Deep technical command of AWS services including IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, and security governance at enterprise scale
- Proven track record managing EKS environments in production across multiple regions
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform, including module design and organization-wide infrastructure-as-code standards
- Experience moving organizations from centralized infrastructure models to decentralized, platform-enabled models
- Strong ability to balance standardization with team flexibility in complex, distributed environments
- Familiarity with cloud-native patterns such as microservices, event-driven architectures, API gateways, and CI/CD systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders
- Leadership in real-world transformation—not just strategy—within globally distributed teams
Technology Environment
Work across AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
Work Model
This is a hybrid role with team members based in the US, Brazil, London, and India. Expect periodic on-site engagements in London, supported by strong collaboration across time zones and regions.
Impact and Culture
You’ll contribute to a global team focused on engineering excellence, human-centered innovation, and sustainable technology transformation. The organization emphasizes combining technical depth with purpose-driven solutions, delivering measurable impact through intelligent platform design.
