Nan McKay & Associates is looking for a Power Apps Developer to join our team and support digital transformation initiatives within a government environment. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop Canvas and Model-Driven applications using Microsoft Power Apps
- Automate workflows and business processes using Microsoft Power Automate
- Develop data models and manage secure data environments using Microsoft Dataverse
- Integrate Power Apps with Power BI, Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and other Microsoft tools
- Move and secure sensitive documents stored in SharePoint and Dataverse
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and data loss prevention (DLP) policies
- Participate in requirements gathering and stakeholder collaboration sessions
- Support secure SDLC, testing, deployment, and change management processes
- Prepare technical documentation and support audit requests
- Stay current with emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend enhancements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience in application development
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps
- Experience working within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
- Strong understanding of data governance, access controls, and compliance standards
- Experience handling secure documents with sensitive data
- Experience integrating REST APIs and external systems
- Knowledge of SDLC, change management, and documentation standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Build dashboards and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment
- Familiarity with FedRAMP-authorized cloud environments
- Experience supporting ATO documentation and security assessments
- Knowledge of NIST-based security frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53)
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications
- Experience with CI/CD and ALM practices
