Responsibilities
- Carry out interdisciplinary research leveraging cutting-edge electron microscopy methods
- Create and implement techniques in transmission electron microscopy, scanning transmission electron microscopy, and associated spectroscopic analyses such as energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy
- Process, analyze, and interpret experimental data using computational software and tools
- Collaborate on active research initiatives with internal and external research partners
- Help manage and maintain electron microscopy equipment
- Support the preparation of academic manuscripts and technical presentations
- Pursue independent research projects that align with the capabilities of the microscopy facility
- Operate and receive training on advanced instruments including (S)TEM Spectra 30-300, Talos F200i, Helios G4 FIB, Helios Hydra CX, and Magellan SEM
Responsibilities
- Conduct multidisciplinary research using advanced electron microscopy techniques
- Develop and apply methodologies in TEM, STEM, and related spectroscopy techniques, including EDS and EELS
- Perform data processing, analysis, and interpretation using computational tools
- Support ongoing research projects in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Assist with operation and maintenance of electron microscopy instrumentation
- Contribute to scholarly publications and presentations
- Develop independent research directions aligned with facility capabilities
- Utilize and receive training on advanced instrumentation, including (S)TEM Spectra 30-300, Talos F200i, Helios G4 FIB, Helios Hydra CX, and Magellan SEM
