Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure in AWS (and some GCP) to enable AI drug discovery workflows
- Follow infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD principles to build maintainable infrastructure using Terraform and CircleCI
- Take advantage of latest AWS tools and apply best practices across our cloud estate to ensure security, availability and observability
- Work closely with technical users across the company to understand and support their computational needs
- In collaboration with data scientists write code to build, test and automate production pipelines in tools such as Nextflow, Airflow, MLflow and KNIME
- Embrace the use of AI coding tools and agents to accelerate delivery while retaining responsibility for system design, implementation and testing of code
Requirements
- solid hands on experience building cloud infrastructure in a commercial environment
- hands-on experience (typically around 2+ years) working with a cloud platform, ideally AWS
- experience in Terraform
- experience building, maintaining and scaling CI/CD pipelines
- Solid experience writing maintainable and well tested code following best practices in at least one language (we use mainly Python and some Go)
- an automation mindset, ideally with experience building production workflows in tools like Airflow
