Jabil is looking for a Photonics Transceiver Test Engineer to directly manage Test Engineers I & II, guiding them to operate with high efficiency and integrity. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain test procedures, hardware, and software for electronic circuit board production, contributing to our mission of making anything possible and everything better.
What You'll Do
- Recruit, interview, and hire Test Engineers I & II.
- Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations for team members.
- Establish clear, measurable goals and drive continuous improvement in key operational metrics.
- Coordinate large team activities and maintain focus during critical periods.
- Define and implement Test Engineering strategies aligned with campus strategic directions.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives by streamlining processes.
- Perform engineering duties involving conventional practices, from ICT and FVT to ESS and System level test.
- Manage the engineering test function for standard and custom devices.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement test procedures and equipment for quality checks.
- Compile and analyze performance data to recommend testing process changes.
- Assist in developing special test equipment and software test programs.
- Act as a technical liaison for assigned customers and assist in setting up training for new product testing.
- Explore new test technologies and perform detailed analysis on test quality to spearhead corrective actions.
- Monitor all NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.
- Adhere to all company safety, health, and security policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Five to ten years of relevant professional experience.
Team & Environment
This role directly manages Test Engineers I & II and reports to the Assistant Test Engineering Manager.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
