Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our team on a full-time, day shift schedule. In this role, you will perform phlebotomy using standard techniques for venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks. You will also provide instruction and assistance with the collection of non-blood specimens.
What You'll Do
- Collect and process patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, both on and off site as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and ensure adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations.
- Perform laboratory support duties, such as order entry, registration, and specimen receiving.
- Mentor students in phlebotomy utilizing AHN policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Phlebotomy training.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice to Have
- Six months’ phlebotomy experience.
- Valid driver’s license, which may be required depending on work location.
