CVS Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. You'll be responsible for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, patient service, and contributing to a safe, inclusive team culture.
What You'll Do
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Offer immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone.
- Complete basic inventory activities as directed, such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntarily traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, staffing offsite clinics) where allowable by law and supported by training.
- Where permissible, support immunizations by preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, monitoring for adverse reactions, and managing vaccine supplies.
- Complete required company training program and satisfy all state registration, licensing, and certification requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- If state does not mandate a minimum age, must be at least 16 years of age.
- If state does not mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
- Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on a task, pivot quickly between tasks, and confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Customer service and team orientation: Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner and respond appropriately to patient reactions.
- Communication skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication; utilize active listening.
- Mathematical reasoning: Ability to use math to solve problems (e.g., determining tablets to dispense, day's supply).
- Problem resolution: Identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical demands: Be mobile and upright for extended periods; lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead; move fingers repetitively; extend arms; control precision; stoop; close visual acuity; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; frequently lift up to 10 lbs; express or exchange ideas by spoken word; receive detailed information orally.
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
Team & Environment
You will be part of the pharmacy team, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager/Supervisor.

Work Mode
This role is onsite at local retail stores and market locations.
