MedWiz of New Jersey LLC is seeking a full-time Pharmaceutical Data Entry Technician to join our team. This onsite role involves processing prescriptions, handling insurance claims, and providing professional customer service to nursing staff. We are looking for a detail-oriented and communicative individual with solid pharmacy experience.
What You'll Do
- Perform order entry for electronic and faxed prescriptions using pharmacy software.
- Answer phone calls and troubleshoot professionally with nursing staff, providing exceptional customer service.
- Adjudicate and troubleshoot rejected insurance claims.
- Communicate with the fill floor to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Accurately process prescriptions, including calculating proper day supplies and quantities.
- Problem-solve to provide accurate information and efficient solutions.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
- PTCB or ExCPT Pharmacy Technician certification.
- 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in any capacity (retail, LTC, hospital).
- Basic math skills.
- Open availability, including holidays and rotating weekends.
- Knowledge of and adherence to required HIPAA laws.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice to Have
- Long Term Care experience.
- Framework LTC experience.
- Long Term Care billing and adjudication experience.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology.
- A basic understanding of Illinois Pharmacy Law.
