About the Role
The role involves managing the end-to-end administrative process for closing personal injury claims, including coordinating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve outstanding liens and achieve final settlements.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage medical lien balances across active personal injury cases
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain accurate billing statements
- Negotiate reductions in medical bills on behalf of claimants
- Prepare and send settlement demand packages to lien holders
- Follow up on submitted reduction requests to ensure timely responses
- Maintain detailed records of all correspondence and agreements
- Update case files with current lien status and resolution progress
- Coordinate with legal team to align on settlement strategies
- Verify accuracy of final medical summaries before case closure
- Respond to client inquiries related to lien resolution timelines
- Process signed lien releases and file them in the case management system
- Monitor deadlines for lien responses and escalate as needed
- Generate reports on reduction success rates and average savings
- Ensure compliance with state-specific lien laws and regulations
- Assist in preparing final settlement documentation for attorney review
- Organize digital files to support audit readiness
- Track vendor communications and response times
- Identify recurring issues in lien processing and suggest improvements
- Support the transition of closed cases to archival status
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and case-related information
- Adhere to internal protocols for dispute resolution with providers
- Use case management software to log all actions and updates
- Assist in training new team members on reduction procedures
- Participate in team meetings to report on case status and challenges
- Meet performance metrics related to turnaround time and resolution rate
