Cushman & Wakefield is looking for a Per Diem Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, paperless urgent care clinic. Your work will directly support our mission of ensuring access to quality healthcare. This role demands availability and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
What You'll Do
- Perform patient care by taking vitals, documenting history, and triaging
- Assist with procedures including incision and drainage, laceration repair, and wound care
- Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes
- Perform ear lavages, run EKGs, and conduct lab testing such as urinalysis, pregnancy tests, blood glucose, monospot, rapid strep, influenza, and HIV testing
- Manage front desk and receptionist duties as needed
- Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (except where permitted by law for exemption with experience, diploma, and/or national certification)
- Current BLS certification and willingness to obtain DOT certification
Nice to Have
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Phlebotomy experience
- Great communication skills
