This role partners with leadership and employees to uphold fair and consistent people practices, ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies while fostering a positive, equitable workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Advise managers and employees on employee relations matters including performance concerns, workplace conflicts, and policy interpretation
- Lead investigations into employee complaints with fairness, confidentiality, and procedural rigor
- Interpret and apply company policies and employment regulations consistently across regions
- Support disciplinary actions and terminations with appropriate documentation and due process
- Partner with legal and HR stakeholders to mitigate organizational risk
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws across multiple jurisdictions
- Develop and refine employee relations frameworks and governance procedures
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and employment standards in HR processes
- Provide guidance during organizational changes, including restructuring and layoffs
- Track and report on employee relations metrics and case trends
- Promote a culture of accountability, respect, and inclusion
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to senior HR or legal teams
- Support the implementation of corrective actions following investigations
- Contribute to the development of training materials on workplace conduct and policies
- Foster trust through impartial, empathetic, and timely responses to employee concerns
