Responsibilities
- Handle large volumes of data entry and management for patient records and healthcare datasets
- Maintain thorough, precise, and uniform data across intake systems
- Examine incoming forms and documents for mistakes or missing details
- Generate clean, accurate initial records for further processing
- Perform detailed quality assurance checks based on provider-specific standards
- Confirm patient personal information, insurance coverage, and medical backgrounds
- Uphold the cleanliness and efficiency of EHR and databases through data cleanup and deduplication
- Oversee workflows to proactively detect and address discrepancies or risks
- Identify all healthcare providers and facilities involved in patient care
- Investigate billing providers, networks, and healthcare entities
- Verify provider credentials, participation status, and submission requirements
- Document and maintain precise provider records in internal systems
- Efficiently navigate provider portals and healthcare databases
- Communicate directly with providers to resolve missing or unclear information
- Track and escalate non-standard provider requirements as needed
- Process patient intake requests and Release of Information (ROI) forms
- Compile complete, submission-ready documentation packets
- Assign requests based on workload, priority, and specialization
- Ensure smooth transitions to downstream teams with complete context
- Track intake requests through defined stages and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Manage scheduling data and keep patient/provider records updated
- Handle sudden increases in volume and shifts in priority with accuracy and urgency
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations in all workflows
- Follow established procedures for data handling, documentation, and communication
- Identify and escalate compliance risks appropriately
