Adventist Health is looking for a Patient Access Representative to join our team in Hanford, CA. In this critical role, you will ensure timely and accurate registration processes, serving as the first point of contact for our patients. You will be responsible for collecting all pertinent account information, verifying insurance eligibility, and calculating patient liabilities.
What You'll Do
- Interview patients to gather and verify all required account information accurately.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, research plan details to ensure accuracy, and enter authorization information as needed.
- Check for and attach physician orders to patient medical records to ensure appropriate testing.
- Calculate and collect patient liability amounts according to policy.
- Follow established guidelines and instructions provided by senior team members.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support the department.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in patient registration, insurance verification, or a related administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive patient information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- High School Education/GED or equivalent.
- Associate's/Technical Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Work Mode
This position requires onsite work at our facility in Hanford, CA.
