Responsibilities

  • Deliver mental health services to clients via telehealth.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate client records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal standards in the practice of therapy.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and treatment goals.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions when appropriate.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and privacy in all interactions and communications.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to promote mental health awareness.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss client care.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with clients and their support systems.
  • Document all client interactions and interventions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the practice of therapy.
  • Provide culturally sensitive and inclusive care to a diverse client population.
  • Engage in self-care and maintain professional boundaries to prevent burnout.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide feedback and input on program development and improvement.
  • Ensure that all services are provided in accordance with best practices and evidence-based treatments.

About the Remote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor) role at Headspace: Headspace is currently seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are currently accepting applications from providers licensed in Rhode Island. Contractor therapists are asked to offer a minimum of 5 sessions/week, with the flexibility to offer additional sessions when needed. More is always welcome depending on your schedule. Please note that due to care demand and member scheduling fluctuations, it could take a number of weeks to achieve a consistent schedule. The pay rate ranges vary by state and currently starts at $82-$87 per session for the state of Rhode Island. Pay rates by state will be confirmed by recruiter during the interview process. Session length is 60 min for an intake and 45 min for a follow up appointment, with concurrent note-taking expected and included in the session rate. Session rates vary by individual and demand, and are determined based on a number of factors including location, licensure, experience, specializations and other relevant considerations. All Headspace therapists must be licensed and reside in the US. Due to the nature of healthcare services provided to our customers, partners and members, all work must be provided in the U.S. Data, specifically personal health information may not be accessed, disclosed or used outside of the U.S. Please note that the U.S. is limited to the 50 states of the United States -- it does not include U.S. territories like Puerto Rico. Note completion is part of the session rate. Additional time should generally not be charged for session notes. Maintain your personalized database to record proof of licensure, license updates, expiration dates, personal information, etc. Keep your availability calendar up to date Stay in regular communication with clinical leadership, checking work emails in a timely fashion and responding within 24 hours, even if not working Work with a collaborative care team including health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers What you will bring: Available to offer at least 5 sessions per week, with the ability to flex up when needed Night and weekend flexibility a plus Clinical competence in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.) and measurement-based care Knowledge, ability, and commitment to providing culturally responsive care Ability and willingness to deliver concurrent documentation.
