Kids & Cozy Tails GmbH is looking for an Operations Manager to take responsibility for the core of our logistics, ensuring every order reaches our customers reliably, quickly, and cost-effectively. You will manage and optimize the entire outbound flow from our warehouse to the end customer, including returns handling and process improvement.
What You'll Do
- Steer and optimize the entire outbound process – from goods receipt to shipping to returns handling.
- Manage daily communication, process optimization, SLA monitoring, and contract and invoice management.
- Monitor and improve returns processes, including processing, credits, and refurbishment.
- Analyze logistics costs per order and develop measures to reduce them long-term.
- Act as the interface to Customer Care regarding delivery problems, complaints, or returns.
- Ensure all legal and internal requirements in warehouse and shipping processes are met.
- Monitor daily goods receipts, shipping releases, shipment status, and returns, with direct exchange to the e-commerce team for deviations.
- Conduct weekly performance analyses and coordinate findings with the e-commerce team.
- Drive ad-hoc optimization of packaging and shipping standards and establish new processes.
- Accompany certification processes and ensure complete documentation.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce operations, ideally in a D2C environment.
- Solid knowledge of working with an e-commerce team on steering, SLA management, and contract processing.
- Completed degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or comparable training with relevant professional experience.
- Very good knowledge of e-commerce processes, specifically outbound, returns, and shipping logistics.
- Experience in cost and KPI monitoring and implementing optimization measures.
- Confident handling of ERP and logistics systems.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to maintain an overview even during peak phases.
- A process optimization mindset to identify weak points and develop pragmatic solutions.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor when collaborating with internal and external partners.
- A hands-on mentality and willingness to pitch in where necessary.
- Initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and a proactive way of working.
