Learner Education is looking for an Online Organic Chemistry Tutor to help students reach their full academic potential. In this fully remote contract role, you will join a community dedicated to helping students from diverse backgrounds succeed through confidence, clarity, and genuine connection.
What You'll Do
- Provide personalized 1 to 1 online tutoring in Organic Chemistry for high school and college students.
- Support students in additional Science subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, or general high school science.
- Tutor Math subjects as a plus.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.
- At least 1 year of relevant U.S. teaching or tutoring experience.
- Recent teaching or tutoring experience within the past 2 years.
- At least 1 year of online tutoring experience.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards.
- Strong subject matter expertise in Organic Chemistry.
- Ability to tutor additional Science subjects between 6th grade and college level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fast and reliable internet connection.
- Computer or laptop with microphone and camera.
- A quiet and professional environment.
Nice to Have
- Ability to tutor Math.
- Availability during peak hours (Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 PM ET).
- Broader weekday and weekend availability.
- A stylus pen for clear annotations.
