About the Role

Motorola Solutions is hiring a North America Test Engineering Manager to ensure the highest quality standards for our products. You will lead the strategy, development, and execution of product testing, managing a team while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver projects on time and within budget.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive test engineering strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Test Engineers, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and career pathing.
  • Oversee the entire product testing lifecycle from requirements analysis to defect tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to integrate testing into the product development process.
  • Allocate and manage testing resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for product quality and reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate potential testing risks and challenges.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on testing progress and product quality to senior management.
  • Research and implement new testing technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the test engineering function.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring clear communication and timely completion.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and milestones.
  • Manage test environments and tools.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Test Engineering.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading technical teams.
  • Strong background in LabView Development Experience.
  • In-depth Knowledge in Hardware and RF testing principles and applications.
  • Extensive Programming experience in C, C#, and C++.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and test automation frameworks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated experience with product development life cycles and quality assurance processes.
