nscon network, security & consulting gmbh is looking for a Network Automation Engineer / Consultant (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. This is not a typical 08/15 consulting role. You will combine classical network expertise with modern automation in hands-on enterprise customer projects, with opportunities for project leadership and technical responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Automate network and security configurations for platforms like Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
- Build and develop DevOps infrastructures and implement Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, and similar tools.
- Work with containerization technologies like Docker & Kubernetes.
- Automate CI/CD processes and provide consulting on network/security automation and compliance.
- Conduct analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation, including ITIL processes.
- Advise customers on new technologies, architecture, and design.
- Take on project leadership and technical responsibility if desired.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrable experience in network, security, and automation/DevOps.
- Solid network understanding at the CCNA level (routing, VLANs, subnetting, etc.).
- German language skills at minimum C1 level.
- English language skills at C1 level.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, YANG, JSON/YAML, and tools like Postman.
- Strong curiosity and willingness for professional and personal development.
