Gray Television's station, WECT, is hiring a News Photographer/Videojournalist to join its award-winning team in Wilmington, North Carolina. This is a full-time, entry-level-friendly position ideal for someone hungry to grow, learn, and build a career in broadcast journalism.
What You'll Do
- Capture the story by gathering compelling video, conducting interviews, and collecting information in the field
- Edit with purpose, cutting and packaging content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms
- Go live, setting up and executing live shots that put viewers at the center of breaking news
- Collaborate and lead, working both independently in the field and as a key contributor to the news team
What We're Looking For
- A self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for storytelling
- Strong communication skills—on the phone, in the field, and in the edit bay
- Ability to thrive under deadline pressure, both solo and as part of a team
- A valid driver's license
Nice to Have
- Experience in news or video shooting and editing
