Nexstar is seeking a News Photographer/Video Editor for its Ozarks First operation in Springfield, Missouri. The ideal candidate is passionate about journalism and will be responsible for creating compelling video content for daily newscasts and digital platforms.

What You'll Do

Shoot and edit daily videos and stories for newscasts, including packages, VO's/VOSOTS, and natural sound pieces.
Create videos and photos for web and social media platforms.
Carry 50 lbs. of equipment, including camera, TVU, tripod, and lights.
Set up live shots on very short notice.
Work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Drive and maintain news vehicles.
Suggest story ideas by reading online news and following social media daily.
Collaborate with coworkers to discuss assignments and logistics.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Fluency in English.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Flexibility to work any shift.
