Job Description: National Medical Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Step Down Registered Nurse with a strong background in neurological care. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients transitioning from ICU-level support, with a focus on neuro-related conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injuries, seizures, and post-operative neurosurgical care. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and assess patients in a step down/telemetry setting - Provide specialized care for patients with neurological conditions - Interpret and respond to changes in patient status, including neuro assessments - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans - Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes - Maintain accurate and timely documentation Requirements: - Active RN license (state-specific or compact) - Minimum 2 years of Step Down or Progressive Care experience - Strong neuro experience required - BLS and ACLS certifications required - NIH Stroke Certification preferred - Excellent critical thinking and communication skills Work Environment: - Fast-paced step down unit with a focus on patient-centered care - Opportunities for professional growth and development Take the next step in your nursing career with National Medical Staffing Solutions.
