DoubleZero is hiring a Network Engineer

We're seeking a network engineer with a genuine CCIE-level routing & switching expertise who is equally adept at crafting production code. This isn't a conventional NOC position — it's for an individual who views networks as programmable systems. What you'll do - Architect and manage expansive, resilient, low-latency network infrastructures - Engage with BGP, EVPN, MPLS, segment routing, and enterprise-grade routing architectures - Construct automation frameworks using Go and Python to manage network configuration, deployment, and monitoring - Collaborate with hardware, protocol, and systems engineers to optimize for performance, reliability, and scalability - Troubleshoot real-world production network challenges across physical and virtual domains What we're looking for - CCIE or equivalent comprehensive routing & switching proficiency - Extensive experience in ISP / carrier / backbone network ecosystems - Robust production Go + Python capabilities (beyond basic scripting) - Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols, network convergence, and failure scenarios - Proven track record of treating infrastructure as programmable systems - Preference for telecommunications / ISP / infrastructure backgrounds over high-frequency trading ABOUT DOUBLEZERO DoubleZero is a high-performance, permissionless global network purpose-built for distributed systems. The mission is straightforward: increase bandwidth and reduce latency. DoubleZero enhances bandwidth by filtering extraneous data that currently impacts validators and network operators. DoubleZero minimizes latency by interconnecting these filters with underutilized private fiber links through a mesh network. By integrating these improvements and routing optimal data through low-latency paths, the DoubleZero protocol enables blockchains and other systems to achieve unprecedented performance levels. Essentially, DoubleZero represents a novel Internet infrastructure for distributed systems. It is supported by two organizations: DoubleZero Foundation, which drives protocol adoption, decentralization, security, and advancement; and Malbec Labs, responsible for developing the technical protocol components.
