Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is looking for a National Applications Specialist - Automation to lead moderate to large-scale implementations and network interfacing for complex, multi-discipline diagnostic laboratory automation systems. This remote role involves up to 80% travel to provide advanced applications support, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.

What You'll Do

Develop expert software and applications skills to support laboratory automation systems, providing technical guidance to field support teams.
Execute implementation processes that create reference-level customers.
Communicate complex concepts effectively to internal and external customers, serving as a technical expert and facilitating work activities.
Provide advanced applications and workflow troubleshooting, both on-site and via remote phone support.
Use mentoring and training abilities to transfer vital system knowledge and operational skills to customers and front-line support personnel.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Medical, Biological Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical major, with 3+ years of relevant industry or military experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 5+ years of experience.
Operational experience with diagnostics laboratory instrumentation.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across customer accounts and business functions through strong customer-facing communication skills.
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and a valid U.S. Passport.
Ability to regularly lift, move, and place up to 50lbs, and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, and using stairs.

Nice to Have

Diagnostics laboratory automation applications experience.
Strong computer skills (MS Office), and knowledge of network/LIS communication and troubleshooting.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the National Automation team within the National Service Support Team covering the United States, reporting to the Automation NSS Supervisor/Manager.
